Catching Lessons

Gary’s job is to teach each player how to coach themselves. It is crucial every player understand their role for developing themselves. The player will be asked to construct an action plan, so they can make small improvements on a daily basis.

In addition, what works for one player may not work for another. Each student will experiment through drills and games. Progress in each skill will be measured and tracked so the athlete can determine how they can be most successful.

Gary’s job is to simplify and enhance learning by applying a systematic process to the construction of catching skills for baseball and softball. Here is an ordered list of catching skills which will be developed:

  • Throwing basics.
  • Throwing to second base.

  • Conditioning and strength training for catchers.

Catching lessons are conducted at Gary’s shop and local fields.
