The primary benefit of taking lessons at Salem Diamond Sports is that Kids Learn How to Succeed.
As a hitting coach, the first questions Gary typically asks a new student and parent when they arrive for their first lesson is: Why are you here? What do you want to achieve?
The answers he receives are amazingly varied. Some students offer a general, I just want to get better. Others, I want more playing time. Or, my coach wants me to hit during the off season. Or, I want to be the best hitter on the team. Or, I want to make the varsity team. Or, I want to get a college scholarship. Or, I dream of hitting a home run. Or, I’m tired of striking out. These are some of the many motivations which bring students to Gary’s Hitting Shop.
Gary believes if families were to take a step back and really look at what is driving them to spend the money (and time) for lessons, he believes most parents want their children to truly understand what it takes to succeed. Not only in the sport they love, but outside sports as well.
